Accelerating Approvals & Construction
Homes and ADUs on the Approval & Construction Accelerator have been reviewed for code compliance and are supported by Providers ready to make your home a reality.
Potential Homebuyers and Developers
Discover plans reviewed for code compliance in your state, with certified off-site builders ready to construct.
Browse approved models
Filter by your state, design preference, and home size to discover residential and ADU designs that have already been reviewed for code compliance.
Connect with approved manufacturers
Each model is provided by an approved manufacturer ready to work with you to make your dream a reality. Connect directly with them from the model’s detail page.
Move-in faster
Because each design has already been reviewed for code compliance through an off-site construction program, your local permitting review moves significantly faster than custom one-off plans.

The fast track to move-in day

ICC Accelerator
Plan
Traditional
Hire a designer and develop a custom building plan from scratch — weeks of drawings and revisions.
Plan
Accelerator
Select a ready-made design. The designer is already provided and the building plan is already drawn.
Permit
Traditional
Submit the building plan for review, plus site plan and zoning — and wait in the queue for each.
Permit
Accelerator
Plan review is already passed for every hosted design. Only site plan and zoning remain.
Finance
Traditional
Budgeting and land acquisition.
Finance
Accelerator
Budgeting and land acquisition — unchanged.
Build
Traditional
Find and hire a contractor, then build sequentially on site: prep, foundation, framing, rough-ins, finish. Weather counts.
Build
Accelerator
Factory assembly and site prep run in parallel, and the manufacturer’s contractor network installs it — no contractor search.
Inspect
Traditional
Five separate site inspections — foundation, framing, rough-ins, insulation, final — each scheduled with the jurisdiction, each a possible delay.
Inspect
Accelerator
Inspected continuously on the assembly line as it is built, so nothing waits on a site-visit calendar. On site: foundation and final only.
Move in
Traditional
Certificate of Occupancy, after every sequential step above has finished.
Move in
Accelerator
Certificate of Occupancy 3–4 months sooner than a custom site-built home.
ICC Approval & Construction Accelerator
The Approval & Construction Accelerator is an initiative of the International Code Council to support potential homebuyers and jurisdictions in accelerating the delivery of housing. The portal leverages the expertise of ICC-NTA in reviewing state-level plans for off-site construction and a network of manufacturers that can work with homebuyers to bring projects to fruition.
The Approval & Construction Accelerator is currently being piloted in selected states with Fading West, Veev by Lennar, and Stratford Homes as Founding Participants. Expansion to other states is anticipated upon completion of the pilot.
